The Role
KEO is seeking a talented Transportation Engineer to join their award-winning team based in the Porto or Lisbon office in Portugal. This role is a critical part of the Infrastructure team, focusing on developing traffic and transportation designs.

Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

• Prepare Access and Circulation Studies, Transportation Impact Studies, and Transportation Master Plans.
• Prepare traffic survey data reports.
• Use SYNCHRO, Sidra, and HCS to assess intersection operation and develop improvement measures.
• Support the development and interrogation of strategic and micro-simulation transport models, including VISUM and VISSIM.
• Undertake checks and reviews to confirm that work is comprehensive and accurate and applies sound engineering principles and standards.
• Develop strong communication and working relationships with colleagues, management, subcontractors, public agencies, and clients to support collaborative work practices.

Requirements (What We’re Looking For)

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• More than 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Membership of a professional institution is desirable.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as part of a multidisciplinary team providing transportation advice and solutions on large-scale developments.
• Proficiency in software such as CUBE/STEAM/VISUM/VISSIM, Synchro, Sidra, HCS, CAD, and Auto-turn.
• Also Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
