Web Developer

Responsibilities

• Creating custom WordPress landing pages and websites.
• Connecting third-party APIs into WordPress.
• Developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins.
• Editing and adjusting existing WordPress themes to fit different needs.
• Understanding recommended coding approaches for HTML/CSS and WordPress.
• Helping the team by finishing tasks as needed.
• Connecting the front-end and back-end parts of the web application.
• Designing and developing web pages, graphics, and multimedia; using storyboarding and graphic pre-designs when right.
• Effectively putting code into production systems to make sure service is high quality.
• Talking with the internal team to drive scope initiatives and make sure delivery is on time.
• Using technical knowledge and creativity to find business chances within the company.
• The candidate must have a strong understanding of User Interface (UI), compatibility across different web browsers, general web functions, and standards.

Requirements

• Extensive experience using WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, and Wix.
• 3 or more years of experience working as a web designer/developer.
• 3 or more years of experience working with WordPress.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Desire to learn, improve, grow, and find new solutions.
• Portfolio of previous projects (APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT PORTFOLIOS).
• Understanding of web hosting and domain setup.

Location

• This is a remote position.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 PM to 6 PM Nebraska time (includes 1 hour unpaid break).
• Client Timezone: CST.
• 40 hours per week.
