The Role:

As Chef de Cuisine, you will work closely with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, overseeing the efficient operation of the Culinary department, including the Stewarding team. You'll play a key role in ensuring exceptional product and service that aligns with our brand standards.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain and enhance the culinary experience, keeping abreast of industry trends.
  • Constantly assess menus and signature dishes to ensure relevance, alignment with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices, and seasonal availability.
  • Develop innovative and creative Destination Dining experiences.
  • Ensure purchasing practices meet Six Senses nutrition and sustainability platforms.
  • Conduct regular stocktakes and storage assessments to maintain proper stock levels and hygiene standards.
  • Guide kitchen hosts on portion control and appealing food presentation.
  • Monitor the final product before serving and provide suggestions for improvements.
  • Interact professionally with guests and hosts, actively seeking feedback and handling complaints effectively.
  • Maintain high personal standards of appearance, grooming, hygiene, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within luxury hotels with a proven track record of success.
  • Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of luxury customer needs and a passion for excellence.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish.
  • Strong leadership, training, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and work effectively with a team.
  • Valid European work permit is mandatory.
