Housekeeping Aid/Housekeeping/Full-time Nights

Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Aide performs a variety of duties for the cleaning and maintenance of KPC facilities.

• Assists in the receiving, distribution, and accounting of clean linen and wearing apparel.

Requirements

• Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way would be:
  • Education: Less than High School.
  • Experience/Requirements: On-the-job training, preferred knowledge of basic cleaning skills OR by level of experience as follows: No previous experience required.
  • Must meet state labor laws if operating equipment.

Knowledge & Abilities

Knowledge of:

• Absentee replacement of short notice.
• Exposure to infections and contagious diseases.
• Regular exposure to the risk of blood borne pathogens.
• Hazardous anesthetic agents, body fluids, and wastes.
• Hazards from electrical, mechanical, or power equipment.
• Housekeeping, cleaning agents, and chemicals.

Ability to:

• Follow simple instructions.
• Keep simple records of job duties and reports as directed.
• Maintain compliance with principles of acted conduct.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and management staff.
