Middle+ PHP Backend Developer (Yii2 / Laravel) (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Developing new features for existing platforms and products.
• Maintaining and supporting legacy codebases with a view toward gradual improvement and modernization.
• Working across multiple projects, collaborating with different teams and tech stacks (Yii2, Laravel, Symfony).
• Adapting quickly between project needs and priorities while keeping quality high.

Requirements

• Solid experience with PHP (Laravel or Yii2) in production environments.
• Docker for local development and deployment.
• Basic understanding of JavaScript (vanilla or framework-based).
• Strong understanding of backend principles and database-driven applications.
• Willingness to work with legacy code and contribute to its refactoring and improvement.
• Comfortable switching between projects and balancing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience with Symfony.
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JS).
• English speaking skills for smooth async communication (written is fine, spoken is a plus).
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.

You will need to be comfortable switching between projects and dealing with legacy code; we aim to migrate and modernize where we can.
